About Me

A little bit about my crafting self. I have been a crafter for most of my adult life, and cannot imagine my life without crafting. Back in my younger days I did macrame, remember that? I cross stitch, taught to me by a wonderful friend's mother many years ago. From time to time I still pick it up and have one on the go presently.

I also sew and quilt, having done a fair amount of quilting, bed coverlets, wall hangings, lap and tabletop quilts etc. I don't do as much quilting these days, as my card craft has become my passion. I also sew for my home. Curtains, bedding, pillowcases, decorator pillows, tablecloths, placemats.

I started with paper crafts in 2004/05. First I did scrapbooking, but after 4 books I decided that was not for me, and I started making cards. In short order I was hooked, and remain so to this day. I love trying new products and sharing what I've learned on my blog.

I joined Splitcoaststampers in 2010 after stalking the galleries for several years. I love the community of card makers and the wonderful support they have given over the years and I love the wealth of information available on this site.

I was invited to be part of the Dirty Dozen Design Team in 2014 by Lydia, the Community Manager at Splitcoaststampers. Needless to say it was a total surprise.

I now design on three Design Teams. They are each very different from the other, which makes each design team very enjoyable, and so fun to be a part of. I am also part of the Clean and Simple Design Team at Splitcoaststampers, where we host weekly challenges for the members to complete.

Needless to say I make a lot of cards. I sell many, but I also give to charity, mostly senior homes in my area. I mail monthly cards to some precious friends, and have done so since I started making cards.

My love for my craft finds me passing it forward by teaching classes on a weekly basis. It is great to hear how they all laugh and are so invested in making a beautiful card.

And finally, I started taking watercolour classes in 2015 which I enjoy very much, as well as the wonderful group of ladies in my class. It is a difficult medium to learn, and has been challenging, but I love it and often use watercolour on my cards.

I hope you will sit down with a cup of .... and have a look through my blog. If you have any questions, you can email me at the link provided on my home page.

 Have a wonderful day!
